From a repair workshop serving British engineers in colonial India, to the shelves of the world's finest gift stores. The family, the town, and the craft have never changed.
Antiqula is a fourth-generation family business rooted in Roorkee, India, with origins dating back to the 1920s. The journey began with our great-grandfather, a skilled technician running a small workshop in a town then home to the Thompson College of Engineering, the first engineering college in Asia, established by the British to train civil engineers for the construction of the Ganges Canal.
As civil engineering projects grew across India, so did the demand for precision instruments: theodolites, dumpy levels, and surveying tools. Largely imported, and difficult to maintain. Our great-grandfather became the local authority on repairing them, serving engineers, institutions, and technicians across the region.
"He did not set out to build a business. He set out to solve a problem that nobody else in Roorkee could solve."
The Ansari FamilyRecognising India's dependence on imported equipment, he made a bold shift: from repair to manufacturing. His workshop began producing civil engineering instruments locally, growing into a trusted supply network.

From a single repair bench to the shelves of collectors and gift stores in 40 countries.
No shortcuts, no machines replacing hands where hands do better. Every instrument shaped, assembled, and finished by a craftsperson who has spent years learning the work.
Real brass, real wood, real leather. What looks like brass is brass. Buyers can tell that to their customers and mean it.
Shelf-ready packaging, healthy retail margins, and pieces designed to be the most remarked-upon thing in any room they are placed in.
Consistent lead times, robust packaging, and a team that is always reachable. The operational side of wholesale, made dependable over decades.
Every inquiry receives a personal reply within 24 hours. No automated quotes, no black-box pricing, just a conversation and a custom proposal.
Production has never moved, never been outsourced. The fourth generation makes pieces in the same town where the first generation did.
Today, Antiqula represents a curated ecosystem of skilled artisans across Roorkee, where different workshops specialise in different crafts: telescopes and globes in one corner of town, sundials and compasses in another. Each product reflects traditional craftsmanship, often handmade using brass, wood, and leather, carrying forward techniques refined over a century.
With over 24 product categories and 700 SKUs, we bring together this fragmented artisan network into a more organised and accessible platform, connecting the world's buyers to craft that would otherwise be impossible to find at scale.

From museum shops in London to resort boutiques in Bali, Antiqula pieces are on shelves worldwide.
Join buyers across 40 countries. MOQ from 10 units, 24-hour response, and pieces your customers will ask about every time.
